The Happy Church...

has a new happy home!

Jackson, Kentucky

On Monday evening, February 5th, The Happy Church closed on a deal to purchase a parcel of land on the Kentucky River with 3 structures: a church building and two homes. The church began just four years ago in a family's basement, grew to a storefront where they have met for the last three years, and now have grown to the point that they needed a larger building with parking, and most importantly, rest rooms!

The property has a very nice home that is currently rented to a sweet Hispanic lady who is a school teacher. The current plan is to encourage her to remain in the home, and perhaps use her language skills in church ministry.

Also on the property is a vacant home which is structurally sound, but basically needs "gutted" and remodeled on the interior, plus a new roof and paint on the outside.

At the very back of the property is a small band stand complete with electrical outlets, that will power The Happy Church's future outdoor concerts!

Just behind the band stand, is the Kentucky River which, along with the Appalachian mountains, makes for a very picturesque site. Here is a picture from the rear of the property showing the three structures...
